  3. SchwarzWald is a Type 1 Postscript Display Font that is 
  4. extremely bold and striking, resembling the letters of a 
  5. German woodcut.  It's dedicated to Glummie, whose lettering 
  6. it emulates (but doesn't equal!).

  8. You are welcome to install SchwarzWald, just drag the files 
  9. SchwaWal and SchwarzWald.AFM into your system folder, and 
  10. use the Font/DA mover (or Suitcase II etc.) to install the 
  11. file SchwarzWald.bitmap into your system file.  Take a look 
  12. at it, print some out, have fun with it.

  14. SchwarzWald is being distributed as SHAREWARE.  This allows 
  15. you to try it out before you decide whether it's worth 
  16. keeping.  If you keep it and use it, The Author (that's me) 
  17. requests that you pay him $10 by check or money order in US 
  18. funds.  If you are using it for commercial purposes, please 
  19. pay $25.  When I receive and cash your check, you are 
  20. granted a license to use SchwarzWald (the Author maintains 
  21. the copyright).  If you don't like it, or don't feel it's 
  22. worth $10 to you, drag it into the trash, or let your 
  23. friends & associates take a look instead.

  25. You are free to distribute & upload SchwarzWald, provided 
  26. that you keep all of these files (especially this one!) 
  27. TOGETHER, ABSOLUTELY UNALTERED.  Please don't sell 
  28. SchwarzWald or use it as an incentive to sell something 
  29. else.

  31. If you feel too lazy/cheap/busy to send me a check, imagine 
  32. how long it takes to make and refine a typeface, drawn 
  33. completely de novo (i.e. without another typeface as a 
  34. template).  Think how much you would have paid for a font 
  35. like this retail. The more people respond favorably, the 
  36. more incentive I'll have to make new and better typefaces, 
  37. and support the one's I've made.  The shareware concept 
  38. works, making better computing for all of us.  Thank you

  51. & handling.  Above is a chunky bitmap rendition of some of 
  52. the special characters included.  EPS ``Art'', for 
  53. custom-tailoring the font, and a wide variety of bitmap 
  54. sizes also included.  Please specify that you want The 
  55. "SCHWARZWALD FULL CHARACTER SET" with your check, and since 
  56. I'm a one-man operation, allow me some time to get it out 
  57. to you. (Start screaming at eight weeks)  Other fonts are 
  58. available as well, please ask for samples.
